One of the top available 2024-point guards in the entire Midwest currently is Gianni Cobb. The senior of Homewood-Flossmoor High School (IL) and Team Rose recently made a couple of official visits and could be nearing a commitment.

Over the past few weeks, the super quick playmaker took official visits to both UW-Milwaukee and Columbia University. When asked about his trip north to Milwaukee, Cobb called it a good visit.

“I really enjoyed my Columbia visit. New York is very busy. I got a real good feel for Columbia,” Cobb said about his official visit to the Ivy League school. Right now, he believes that Columbia is recruiting him the hardest, followed by Milwaukee and Cal Poly.

There are a few different aspects that Cobb is searching for in his future home. “I’m looking for a college that believes in giving their freshman a chance coming in, also a good culture since this will be my home for the next four years. Lastly, but most importantly I want to make sure whatever college it is they put me in the right situation to succeed not only on the court but in the classroom too.”

Following a pair of official visits, Cobb may not be too far away from a commitment. He would like to make his commitment before his senior season starts. “Hopefully that wish comes true,” Cobb said about committing before the season.
