Championship Sunday always has some extra energy in the gym. Plenty of players brought their best game in search of a championship. Here is one player each from the 2027-2030 teams that played a huge role in their team capturing the trophy today.
Brayden Holland – 2030 – G – Closed Gym
Holland was one of a few talented players from this championship Closed Gym squad. Throughout Sunday Holland had big games in the playoffs to help his team get to the title game and win it all. He scored 18 in the semifinals and then 12 in the championship as well to his tough defensive play all day.
Omari Jointer – 2027 – PG – Griffin Elite
There is an incredible amount of talent on this 2027 Griffin Elite team and in the championship game it was Jointer’s turn. While the game was tight in the first half, the point guard turned it up a level in the second half to have Griffin pull away and capture the title. The tough attacking point guard scored 24 points in the winning effort.
Cole Kelly – 2028 – F – Illinois Flight
Kelly has been a presence on the GNBA for a couple years now and has continued to grow his game. It really showed when it mattered most in the seventh-grade title game. The game was tight early on until the forward took over towards the end of the first half, going for 18 points in that half alone and 22 total in the championship victory.
Kamari Riddick – 2029 – G – Martin Brothers
The lengthy guard was tremendous all tournament and including in the 6th grade title matchup. In the big game, he finished with 21 points in the winning effort. A gifted slasher that was constantly getting to the basket with ease as well to his talented overall game. All throughout bracket play, Riddick was scoring in bunches leading this talented team to the trophy.
