With his breakout junior season for York High School (IL), the number of colleges interested in AJ Levine continues to grow. Throughout his high school career, Levine has only continued to complete his overall game. The 6’0” point guard is fresh of a visit to one of the top division two teams in the nation right now.

Back in January, Levine took a visit to Hillsdale College. “The visit to Hillsdale was great. I got to see all of the campus. I saw them beat a team by twenty and really liked their play style, they are fun to watch. Overall, the visit went really well, and I plan on going back to Hillsdale in the spring for a longer visit,” Levine said. As well to Hillsdale College, Levine has a long list of division two and three programs from across the entire region showing interest in him currently.

Right now, Levine is averaging 17 points, 4 assists, and 4 rebounds per game. The junior is a skilled and efficient shot maker who has also has a good ability to run the point effectively. He is a high IQ player that moves well with the ball in his hands and has a good distributing ability. More than just his skill, Levine has good bounce and plays with plenty of energy.

With all of his tools, Levine had developed into one of the top point guards in Illinois’ 2024 class over the past several months. York and Levine will get their start in the Illinois state tournament on Wednesday up against Naperville North.
