Just recently Angelo Ciaravino received his first division one offer. The junior of Mount Carmel High School and the Illinois Wolves was offered by Southern Illinois back in October and now just took a visit there this past weekend.

“Feels amazing and great to know that all of the work I put in has finally paid off,” Ciaravino said about getting the offer. Though he added in, “Still a lot more work to do but it was very reassuring getting this offer.”

When talking about his trip to Carbondale, the junior called it a “great visit.” He added in about the visit and experience with them, “Love the coaching staff, they had great energy the whole visit and were very welcoming. Great knowing that the coaching staff over there were the first to put their faith in me, trusting me that my game is going to keep developing.”

As well to Southern Illinois, he has a visit planned to Wisconsin-Green Bay this upcoming weekend.

“I would say right now my shot is looking pure, I can get into it going downhill,” he said describing his game. “I play at my own pace. Constantly going and doing whatever it is to make sure my team win. Guarding multiple positions, can handle the ball.”

For his personal goals for the upcoming season, Ciaravino wants to expand his role as a leader, help his teammates get better, and contribute as much as possible to win every game. For his team goals, he wants to go down state and compete for a state title.
