The 2025 class put on a show at this years NY2LA Futures Camp. Many of the area’s top sophomores were in attendance and they did not disappoint. While there were plenty of names to choose from, here are the ones that stood out the most.
Javerion Banks – 2025 – PG – Warren Twp. HS
Banks was one of the top point guards of the entire camp who showcased plenty of skills on both ends of the floor. He was one of the leading scorers of the camp with 14.5 points per game in addition to being tied for lead in steals plus showed a good passing ability. A terror on the defensive end pressuring the ball to continuously force turnovers and quickly turn them into buckets the other way. A quick playmaker with the ball in his hands, Banks showed had good ability to read the floor and get into paint often to create. All camp he was playing at a high level doing so much for his team.
Zach Behn – 2025 – G – Chapman Basketball Academy
Not only does Behn have good size in the backcourt at 6’5” with good bounce but is also a highly skilled guard. He was the top scorer of the entire 2025 group by a wide margin averaging 23.5 points per game, 6 points more than any other player. He has great form on his jumper, shooting it at an extremely high percentage during the camp. Behn hit a staggering 9 of his 13 three-point attempts. He is a marksman spotting up from the outside but can also create for himself and always get his shot off with his size and length. He has good feel with a very advanced game.
Markus Blackwell – 2025 – PG – REACH Legends
After making first team while playing up on the 16U NY2LA Association this year, Blackwell followed it up with a tremendous performance here to earn himself co-mvp honors and the floor general award. He put up big stats across the board, being second amongst the 2025 group in points, rebounds, and assists, as well to leading the event in steals. While just entering his sophomore year, Blackwell is a complete guard with a good overall skill set. He not only showed a good ability to run the point and be a facilitator reading the floor well but is a tough scorer attacking the basket. Blackwell is a guard in the 2025 class that should not be missed.
Devin Isaj – 2025 – G – 24Up
The 6’4” guard is a pure shot maker who knows how to play. Whether it be from the mid-range or beyond the arc, Isaj showcased a great ability to hit his shots. He has good range on his jumper but also excelled getting to his spots in the mid-range and hitting contested shots at a high percentage as well as getting all the way to the basket. Isaj is a player to track with his size, IQ, agility, and translatable skills.
Pryce Gregoire – 2025 – F – Phenom University
After making a name for himself this spring and summer on the grassroots scene, Gregorie took his game to another level during this camp to earn himself co-mvp honors at the 2025 level. The 6’5” forward already has a well-rounded game and made an impact in a variety of ways on the floor. He is a versatile scorer that was getting it done in numerous ways from all levels to score 15.5 points per game. Gregorie also led the camp in rebounding in addition to filling up the box score with assists and blocks too.
Trevor Polite – 2025 – G/F – Chapman Basketball Academy
While he deservingly won the Mr. Upside Award, Polite is already a highly productive player on both ends of the floor. A very well-rounded wing with good size at 6’6” in addition to his length. With his blend of physical tools and athleticism, he was one of the toughest and most versatile defenders of the camp. He was also the third leading scorer of the camp with 16 points per game, often getting to the basket with his long strides but knocked down threes consistently.
