While the recruitment of Brock Harding has continued to grow over the past year, it recently took a huge step as he received his first high major offer. On Monday, Iowa extended an offer to the rising senior point guard of Moline High School (IL) and MidPro Academy.

Although Iowa is the lone high major offer at this point; Harding has a long list of other division one offers. Other schools to have offered the 6’0” point guard this spring include Cal Poly, Illinois State, Loyola Chicago, Rice, and St. Louis. As well, he previously was offered by Appalachian State, Bradley, Colorado State, Drake, UIC, and others.

Fran McCaffery and staff have one commitment in their 2023 class currently, Owen Freeman. Not only have Freeman and Harding both played on the same MidPro Academy team over the last couple of years but will also be teaming up at Moline High School for their senior seasons.

Harding has consistently proven to be one of the more elusive and top playmaking point guards in the entire nation amongst the 2023 class. He brings such a unique skill set with his quickness, moves, and passing ability. As well, Harding has continued to greatly improve his athleticism and outside shooting over the past few months.
