One of the top available senior guards in Illinois just picked up another offer. This one was from Judson University for Donovan Jones. Jones is in the midst of a tremendous senior season in which he is averaging 24 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists per game.

The 6’1” point guard of Solorio Academy in Chicago was previously offered by Governors State. As well to the pair of offers, Jones also has interest from division two, NAIA, and junior college programs.

When asked about what he can bring to a college team, Jones said “First and foremost is toughness, toughness is in me. Growing up on the south side of Chicago you have to be tough mentally and physically. Second is my scoring ability, I feel like I am on the best scorers in the state of Illinois. Last is being a true point guard. I feel like my scoring does most of the talking but a lot of people don’t notice is how well I am as a passer.”

There are a few things Jones is looking for in his future college. “Loyalty, consistency, and honesty. I feel those things can help me achieve long term goal, which is to play professional basketball.”

Jones is looking to make his college commitment after the season in either March or April.
