Over the year, Jaden Smith has continued to prove he is one of the top 2024 big men prospects in the entire Midwest. The 6’10” forward/center of Lincoln Park High School in Chicago really started to emerge as a topflight player this spring and summer while playing with the Mac Irvin Fire.

College coaches have continued to be interested in Smith throughout the year. Back in the spring TCU became the first school to offer him a scholarship and Western Illinois has also offered him since. DePaul, Illinois, Michigan State, and UIC are just some of the many schools showing significant interest in him right now.

“I am thankful and blessed with all the offers I received, but right now I am focused on getting better and picking up more high major offers,” Smith said when talking about his college recruitment to date.

When talking about his time playing with the Mac Irvin Fire, Smith said “Spring and summer with Mac Irvin went great in terms of getting better and exposure.” He is a mobile and lengthy big man that has shown tremendous upside. Smith already moves very well for his size and has continuously played with a big motor. On both sides of the court, he has shown good ability with his shot blocking as well as scoring around the basket and mid-range with good touch. Smith is looking to improve his jump shot as well as staying out of foul trouble.

Expect Smith to only attract further college interest and offers as more coaches see him play with all that he has to offer.
