While one of the top seniors in the greater Chicago area, Ethan Roberts is still under the radar in terms of his college recruitment. While he has interest from all levels of schools, the 6’4” guard, has one scholarship offer currently from Southern Indiana. Roberts had just received the offer earlier this month.

As a 4.0 student, Roberts is putting much importance on the academics of his future school, stating that he “values a good education.” Roberts wants to “find a place that I can see myself happy at. A school being the right fit is very important in my decision.” On the basketball side of the decision, he wants “a great relationship with the staff, make an impact and be part of a great team atmosphere.”

In addition to his offer from Southern Indiana, Roberts is receiving attention from programs on all levels of NCAA schools. Army, Columbia, UC-San Diego, and Wyoming are just some of the division one programs showing interest in him right now. As a high academic student, he also mentioned that he is being recruited hard by the University of Chicago, one of the top schools in the country.

Roberts is coming off a strong junior season at Hersey High School, having averaged 14.1 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 4 assists per game. Over the summer, he then played with the Fundamental U program. “On the court, I have been improving every single day getting college ready,” Roberts commented on how his summer went with them.

The senior will be looking to make a commitment when “I find the best fit for myself” but he has no timeline on any college decision. He added in “I’m really in no rush.”
