Many of the top 2021 players across Illinois have already made their college commitment. Max Christie has picked Michigan State, Bryce Hopkins is off the board to Kentucky, Isaiah Barnes is headed to Michigan, and Chris Hodges has been committed to Wisconsin for some time. Though there is still plenty of talent on the board. Here are just some of the best uncommitted players in the state.

Ola Ajiboye – Evanston Township High School – 6’8”
Ajiboye is one of the more sough after mid-major recruits in Illinois holding offers from Detroit, Farleigh Dickinson, St. Louis, UIC, and others which should be no surprise with his size and all he can do on the court. He is one of the top shot blockers around in addition to being a quality all around defender. Though, he also has a smooth jump shot, plays with a good motor, and rebounds at a high level. After previously attending Von Steuben in Chicago, Ajiboye will finish his high school career at Evanston Township High School.

Amar Augillard – Zion Benton High School – 6’5”
Augillard is a highly physical and active wing with a college ready body. He is very tough to stop when going downhill and has continued to improve his shooting to be a threat out on the perimeter. Wisconsin-Green Bay was the first to offer in February and Chicago State, Grambling State, and Western Illinois have added offers since.

Grant Newell – Whitney Young High School – 6’8”
The forward has been a somewhat under the radar player in the class of 2021 having played alongside current Duke guard DJ Steward among others last season at Whitney Young. While he does have a few mid majors offers he has continued to be under recruited. Newell is an athletic forward who can stretch the floor and is a strong scorer around the hoop with great upside.

Julius Rollins – Hillcrest High School – 6’6”
Rollins had a breakout summer in 2019 and has continued to pick up the offers since, now into the double digits. The wing has received offers from Chicago State, Cleveland State, Kent State, LIU, North Carolina A&T, Oakland, Southeast Missouri State, Toledo, UIC, Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and Youngstown State. Rollins is a talented slashing wing that is one of the top athletes in the state.

Anthony Sayles – Notre Dame Prep – 6’2”
A highly skilled guard that is a coveted mid-major prospect. He has been on the radar of division one programs for some time now having received his first offer back in 2019 from Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Loyola-Chicago, Southern Illinois, and Toledo have also offered. Also, a standout quarterback, expect Sayles to garner further offers moving forward.
