While Zion-Benton’s Amar Augillard has been one of the more productive and talented players in the class of 2021 in the Chicagoland area for some time now, he has yet to receive a single college scholarship offer. However, that all changed over the weekend for the well-built 6’5” small forward.

On Saturday, University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and head coach Linc Darner extended an offer out to Augillard. “It feels great to receive my first offer, it’s an exciting feeling,” Augillard stated when talking about his recent big news.

Currently, Augillard is 8th in the NY2LA Illinois 2021 player rankings. He is in the midst of a highly impressive season averaging 25 points per game, to go along with 8 rebounds and 4 assists.

While it is early on in his recruitment, there is already one big thing he likes about the Phoenix. “I like how the school made me feel like I’m at home,” Augillard stated. He also added in that a cousin of his goes to school there.

Some of the other schools that are showing interest in Augillard include Bradley, Loyola-Chicago, Miami (OH), and Tulsa. One aspect that he is looking for in his future school is “just a good education that I can fall back on.”

Augillard will have plenty of further opportunities to get himself further offers when playing on the Nike EYBL this spring and summer playing with Phenom University.
