The state is full of talented backcourts. Today we look at three backcourts that have become dominant over the past few years. Between the six players listed, every single player is either committed to a D1 school or has a D1 offer…

SIMEON
’21 6’2 SG AHAMAD BYNUM
Bynum continues to show his worth at Simeon. He is one of the most explosive guards in the state regardless of class. Bynum has started to shoot it with more consistency and will continue to grow as a player over the remainder of his high school career. Bynum is currently committed to DePaul.

’22 6’1 PG JAYLEN DRANE
Drane is a thin and rangy guard. He has fluid hips that allow him to explode off ball screens. Jaylen has played in big games throughout his entire career and doesn't disappear on the big stage! Drane currently holds an offer from Chicago State and expect those offers to keep coming in.

MORGAN PARK
’20 5’11 PG MARCUS WATSON JR.
Watson has become a mainstay in the Morgan Park lineup over the last few years and for good reason. The undersized point guard makes up for it with his extremely quick first step that allows him to get downhill and find teammates. Watson is currently committed to Wake Forest.

’20 6’4 SG ADAM MILLER
Miller is one of the most high octane scorers in the state. The youngster from Peoria has a smooth stroke and continues to show he can impact the game in more ways than one. Miller is a capable ball handler with a nice frame that will excel at the division one level next season. Miller is currently committed to Illinois.

BLOOM
’20 6’2 CG KESHAWN WILLIAMS
Williams has grown a lot over the last few seasons. While his jumper has become more consistent so has his athleticism. Williams is smooth in almost any situation you put him in, I'm very excited to see him in different ball screen situations in college as he is slippery and gets downhill well. Williams is currently committed to Tulsa.

’20 6’2 CG DANTE MADDOX JR.
Maddox has become as reliable as it gets in the guard department. He excels from beyond the arc and has range that lasts for days. Maddox does more than just shoot it, he has become a great finisher at the rim and has bounce that allows him to finish above the rim when coming down the lane. Maddox is currently committed to Cal-State Fullerton
