McHale Korf is well balanced 2021 point guard from Pelicans Rapids. Korf is leading the Vikings in scoring this season while breaking the 1,000 point career make. Korf impressed playing MN Comets Servaty last summer at The Great Plains Alliance and got some recognition playing in the NY2LA series.

Pelican Rapids started the year 9-2 but have dropped four straight including a one point loss in their last game. A quick chat with Korf about how he and the team are doing and what they'll do to back on track.

Q: How's the season going so far?
A: The season is going pretty good. We are a young team and we are taking more and more big steps every game which is exciting to see.

Q: You guys have balance scoring. Are you Jayden, and Liam all the same years?
A: Yes, we are all juniors. Logan Fahje is another junior who has really stepped up lately and has hit some big shots for us.

Q: Do you feel you guys are all growing together?
A: Yes, for sure. We have been playing with each other since 2nd grade and we just keep growing with each other every game.

Q: What do you tell the guys to get over this rough patch you and the team are having?
A: Just to believe in each other and keep working. We had a tough stretch of games and we played hard but it just wasn’t enough.

Q: Have been hearing from any colleges yet?
A: Not yet.

Q: Where are you playing AAU this spring and summer?
A: I’ll be playing for Coach Kitchener’s Comets team with Jayden.

Q: Do you have other hobbies or interests other than basketball?
A: Football is my other main sport. I also golf and like to spend time with my family.
