The first few months of the season for Brady Olson and Cuba City High School have been very entertaining. While Cuba City has played seventeen games so far this year, they have yet to suffer a loss. A big reason for the 17-0 record has been the stellar play of Olson who is currently averaging 16.7 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists.

When talking about all the success Cuba City has been having this season, Olson gave a couple different reasons for all the wins. “I feel our success is thanks to our unselfish play, we don’t care who scores as long as our team scores. Also, we have five guys on the court who play hard all the time, and that takes a toll on the other team.” He is looking to turn the successful season into a state championship to finish off his high school career.

The strong play during his senior season has earned Olson a pair of division two scholarship offers recently. Both Saint Leo’s University and Wisconsin-Parkside offered Olson back in January. He also holds scholarship offers from Clarke University and Viterbo University on the NAIA level. As well, he has strong interest from a pair of division three programs; Wisconsin-Platteville and Wisconsin-Stevens Point. When talking about these schools, Olson mentioned “What I like about the schools that have offered is the coaches, they are all really good and that makes their school much more appealing.”

“What I am looking for in a college is a place where we could win conference and national championships,” Olson mentioned as a main factor in what he wants in his future school. As well he is looking for a school with a business program.

For which of the schools Olson will end up picking is not too far away. The point guard is planning to make his college decision right after his high school season is over.
