Lake Central HS in St. John, IN surely didn’t see this coming before the season began.  6’1” guard Nick Anderson is having a tremendous breakout season for the Indians.  Nick showed signs of this while playing grassroots this past summer for Indiana Elite Northwest knocking down jumpers like it was child’s play.  IE Northwest coach Rob Cavanaugh, “I truly enjoyed coaching and working with Nick last spring and summer.  He is an incredible shooter and scorer.  He can shoot the “3” as well as anyone in the state, but can also put the ball on the floor and score off the dribble.  He is very difficult for opponents to guard.  He is also a great teammate and makes everyone around him better.”

Nick is scoring at a very impressive 22.5 points per game clip all while being the focal point of opposing defenses.  In his last two contests, he put up 30 points against Portage and followed that up with 39 against Lowell.  Lake Central has won 3-straight games and now sits at 9-5 on the season.  The team as well as Nick are both trending in the right direction approaching tournament time which promises to be a very competitive sectional.

While in the classroom, his performance is just as impressive with a GPA of 3.60 scored a 26 on his ACT and is looking to major in business.  College coaches have definitely seen his abilities as he has interest from: Indiana Wesleyan, Purdue Northwest, Trine, Wabash, Holy Cross, Albion, UW Platteville and has an offer from IUSB.

His skill-sets on the floor combined with the scholastic achievements make Nick Anderson a must-see recruit.
