One of the most productive and impressive players in the NY2LA Association last summer, Detroit (Mich.) Pershing 2018 shooting guard D’Juan Seal is one of the best talents still on the board in the Midwest. A high motor, stat sheet stuffer, and two-way guard, Seal is getting some nibbles going into his senior season and after a strong spring and summer campaign he looks like a potential steal during the Spring signing period for the right program.

“It’s kind of frustrating,” Seal told NY2LA Sports. “But I can still work harder and try and get some. I’ve proven that I am a Division 1 player and I’m being patient with the process.  The offers will start to roll in if I continue to play at a high level.”

Seal has Division 2 offers from Ferris State, Wayne State, Northwood, Lewis, and Grand Valley State. Two Division 1 programs have been expressing interest late.  “I’m hearing from Cleveland State and Eastern Michigan,” Seal said. “They’ve been calling me and sending letters. They’re saying they like how my game is set up.”

The 6-foot-4, 190-pound senior took a visit to Northwood this fall and plans to see Ferris State in the near future.

Seal won’t be making a decision until after his senior season.  “I’m going to play out the season,” he said. “We’ll see what things look like at the end.”

Seal played for REACH Legends during the travel season.
